Saxbys Donates $5,000 to Alex’s Lemonade Stand

After two months, Saxbys’ proud partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) has come to a successful conclusion. With 20% of café lemonade sales benefiting ALSF and a wonderfully sweet “Lemon Bash” fundraiser held in May, Saxbys was able to raise a total donation of $5,000.

Starting in July of 2000, the combination of a big heart and a small lemonade stand helped four-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott raise more than $1 million toward finding a cure for the horrible sickness that sadly took her life in August 2004. To this day, the non-profit foundation carries on her legacy, since raising over $120 million toward this valiant and imperative effort. Channeling Alex’s passion, care and mission, Saxbys joined the fight against childhood cancer, raising awareness and funds for the cause.

Though the flavors of “strawberry mint” and “mixed berry with sage” are no more, the shared values of community involvement, passion and awareness continue to power Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and inspire the Saxbys mission to Make Life Better.
